ASX 200 (Australian index) futures - counter-trend 40 day cycle upswing, limited upside before fall into 20 week cycle trough.
Price is currently grinding higher in what we believe to be the final leg in the 40 day cycle upswing which started just before Christmas. There could yet be a little more upside in this cycle but the up-sloping 80 day VTL around 8,450 is likely to be a hard barrier. We think price will fade before this level.
